Axes & sign conventions
Choose axes along the motion — on an incline, along and perpendicular to the slope. Components stay clean.
FBD recipe: isolate the body → draw every force on it → resolve on your axes. Nothing else touches the page.
Signs: pick a positive direction once and keep it for the whole problem. g is a magnitude; its sign comes from your axes.
Pseudo-force: only in an accelerating frame — magnitude ma, direction opposite the frame's acceleration.

The Lab

fourteen benches, alive in light

Every module below is an instrument — drag, tilt, spin and collide, then read each quantity live off the bench. Prefer it in reading form? ▤ Open the Full Book →

The fourteen modules

kinematics → rotation → fluids, one bench at a time

The full arc of classical mechanics, one bench per chapter — the first bench free to all, the rest in the full lab — each ending in a warm-up and an exam bank.

Cross-topic tools

connectors that serve every chapter

Some instruments belong to no single module — they cut across the whole subject. They live here on the home bench, always within reach.

Period pigments — one per module
Every module keeps a single mineral accent for its tags, margins and section numbers — the same colour means the same module on every page. The cyan glow is reserved for whatever is live.
