Vedatom Physics is a free, browser-based physics learning site. We built it to teach — not to profile you. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what happens to your data when you use it.
No sign-up, no login and no name, email or password is needed to read, practise or use any bench. Two things do involve giving something: the coaching enquiry form asks for a name and an email because a reply has to go somewhere, and a pass is bought and signed into on vedatom.com — see § What we collect.
Your quiz answers and progress are saved in your own browser, not on our servers.
We do not sell, rent or trade any information about you. Full stop.
Vedatom Physics is an interactive physics education project run by Dr. Tejaswi Katravulapally, published under the Vedatom family. When this policy says "we," "us" or "the site," it means this project. You can reach us any time at connect@vedatom.com.
The reader and the labs run entirely in your browser. This site collects no names, email addresses, phone numbers or payment details, and it holds no accounts.
Buying a pass happens elsewhere: the account and the payment live on vedatom.com, handled by WordPress and by Razorpay, our payment processor, under their own policies. We never see or store your full card details. All this site is told is whether the browser you are reading in holds a valid pass, and for how long — a single cookie carrying an expiry date and nothing else.
The only information stored while you learn is kept locally on your own device using your browser's local storage:
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us. You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data (see Your choices).
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's local storage purely for the learning features described above — remembering your progress and preferences. These are functional and stay on your device; they are not used to follow you around the web.
To keep the site fast and useful, a few pages load resources from, or link out to, other services. When you interact with these, their own privacy policies apply:
Typefaces are served from Google's font network, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering the files.
"Book a session" links open Dr. Tejaswi's tutor profile on TeacherOn. Any booking or messaging happens on their platform under their terms.
Links to the YouTube channel and the main vedatom.com site take you to those services, each governed by its own privacy policy.
We don't control these third parties and aren't responsible for how they handle your data. We encourage you to read their policies.
This site is made for students, including those under 18. Because this site collects no personal information and needs no account to read, a student can use the labs and the reader without ever submitting identifying data. Buying a pass does involve an account on vedatom.com, so that step is one for a parent or guardian to take. If you are a parent or guardian and have any concern about your child's use of the site, please contact us and we'll help.
Because everything is stored on your own device, you're in full control:
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. This site itself runs no accounts and holds no database of personal information, so there is no store of your data here for anyone to breach; the account behind a pass lives on vedatom.com and is secured there. The learning data on your device is protected by your own browser and operating system.
As the site grows we may update this policy — for example, if we add a new feature. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
We're happy to explain anything in this policy in plainer terms, or to walk a parent or student through how the site handles data.
